What's in the lineup
Nine categories covering Irish and UK television, sport, films, documentaries and international channels. The exact lineup changes as broadcasting rights move — so rather than publish a list that goes stale, here is what each category contains and how to check the specifics yourself.
Irish television
The national channels Irish households watch daily — news, drama, current affairs and the evening schedule, without an aerial or reception worries.
Irish language
Gaeilge programming including news, sport and children's content. Particularly valued in Gaeltacht areas and by families raising children with the language.
UK entertainment
Drama, comedy, soaps and reality from the British channels most Irish viewers grew up with. The clearest gap in what is freely available in Ireland.
Sport
GAA football and hurling, domestic and European football, rugby, horse and greyhound racing, combat sports, motorsport and golf. Pay-per-view events included.
News & current affairs
Irish, UK and international rolling news in one place. Useful when a story is being covered differently either side and you want to see both.
Documentary & factual
History, nature, science and true-story channels. Often the best-looking material in the lineup, since factual production tends to carry higher picture quality.
Children's
Irish and UK children's channels across age groups, including Irish-language kids' programming. Easy to group separately in most players.
Films & box sets
A 170,000-title on-demand library sorted into categories — films across genres and decades, full box sets, documentaries and family titles. Updated daily.
International
Channels from outside Ireland and the UK across languages and regions, plus music and lifestyle. Worth hiding in your player if you'll never open them.
Why we don't publish a fixed list
Plenty of providers publish a long channel list with exact names and numbers. It looks impressive and it is out of date within weeks, because broadcasting rights move between providers constantly, channels get renamed or renumbered, and lineups shift.
A published list creates a specific problem: someone subscribes for a named channel, finds it isn't there, and reasonably feels misled. That is a refund and a bad experience, caused entirely by publishing something we couldn't guarantee.
So we describe categories honestly and point you at the one list that is always accurate — the one on your own screen during a free trial. It takes minutes to check and costs nothing.
Three ways to check
Whether you're deciding to subscribe or already have a line, these are the reliable routes to a specific channel.
Ask us directly
Message us the channel or competition you care about and we'll tell you straight whether it's in the lineup right now. If it isn't, we'll say so rather than take your money.
Take a free trial
Twenty-four hours with the full lineup on your own device. Browse or search for exactly what you want before spending anything. No card details required.
Search inside your player
Already subscribed? Most players search across every channel at once. TiviMate handles this best — far quicker than scrolling through categories.
Channel questions
Yes. Message us the channel or competition and we will check the current lineup and answer honestly. If it is not there, we will tell you rather than let you subscribe and find out afterwards.
No. The total covers international channels across many languages and regions, which is how the figure reaches that scale. The Irish and UK categories are what most customers here actually use, and the rest can be hidden in your player.
Not always. Numbering can shift when the lineup is updated, which is why it is worth marking your regular channels as favourites rather than memorising positions. Favourites survive playlist refreshes in most players.
You can ask, and we will pass it on. We cannot promise anything, since availability depends on factors outside our control — but requests do tell us what customers want, and it costs nothing to mention it.
Usually because the same channel is carried in different qualities — an SD, HD and 4K version listed separately. That is useful on a slower connection, since you can choose the version your line handles comfortably.
No. Every plan carries the identical lineup and the full film library. The only differences between plans are the length of the term and how many devices can stream at the same moment.

Twenty-four hours with the full lineup on your own television. The only channel list worth trusting is the one you can scroll through.
Channel categories described on this page are indicative of the current lineup and are updated regularly. Broadcasting rights change hands, and we do not guarantee that any specific channel, competition or title will remain available for the duration of a subscription — see our Terms of Service. The free trial is the reliable way to confirm current coverage. IPTV Ireland official supplies subscription access and playlist credentials; player applications such as TiviMate and IPTV Smarters Pro are third-party software made by other companies. Broadcaster and competition names are the trademarks of their respective owners.
