Privacy policy

What we collect, why we collect it, who else sees it, and what you can ask us to do with it. Written to be read rather than skimmed past — if anything here is unclear, ask us and we will explain it.

Updated August 2026 GDPR compliant No data selling 12 sections
01

Who we are

IPTV Ireland official ("we", "us") operates iptvireland.biz and has traded since 2018. For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation, we are the data controller for personal data collected through this website and through our customer support channels.

Registered operator: [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], established in [COUNTRY].

You can contact us about anything in this policy at [email protected] or on WhatsApp at +44 7309 572838.

EU representative

Where we are established outside the European Union and offer services to individuals within it, Article 27 of the GDPR may require us to designate a representative in the Union.

[EU REPRESENTATIVE NAME AND CONTACT — or remove this section if an exemption applies]

02

What we collect

We collect the minimum needed to sell you a subscription and support it. There is no account system on this website, no signup form and no customer login — most of what we hold comes from you messaging us directly.

CategoryWhat it includesHow we get it
Contact details Name, email address, phone number You provide them when contacting us
Message content What you write to us on WhatsApp or by email Directly from you
Subscription details Plan purchased, dates, credentials issued Generated when we activate your line
Device identifiers MAC address and device key, for MAG boxes and certain TV apps You send them so we can register your device
Payment references Transaction reference, amount, date From the payment provider — we do not see full card details
Technical data IP address, browser type, pages visited Automatically, through hosting logs and analytics

What we never collect

We do not receive or store full card numbers or bank credentials. Payments are made directly through the provider you choose, and we see only a reference confirming the payment cleared.

We do not collect special category data — nothing about health, beliefs, politics or ethnicity — and we have no reason to.

03

Why we collect it

Under GDPR every use of personal data needs a lawful basis. Ours are set out below.

PurposeLawful basis
Activating and delivering your subscriptionPerformance of a contract
Providing support and troubleshootingPerformance of a contract
Registering a device MAC addressPerformance of a contract
Processing refundsPerformance of a contract, and legal obligation
Keeping records of transactionsLegal obligation
Preventing abuse and credential sharingLegitimate interests
Understanding how the website is usedConsent, where required

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have considered whether our interest is outweighed by your rights and freedoms. Detecting a shared subscription, for example, protects paying customers from being locked out — but we do not use it to build any wider profile of you.

04

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data, and we never will. We share it only with the services needed to run the business, and only what each one needs.

WhoWhat they receiveWhy
WhatsApp (Meta)Your phone number and message contentYou chose to contact us there; their own privacy terms apply to that conversation
Email providerEmail address and message contentTo send and receive support email
Payment providersWhatever you enter with them directlyTo take payment — we receive only a reference back
Hosting providerTechnical logs including IP addressTo run the website and keep it secure
Analytics providerAnonymised or pseudonymised usage dataTo understand how pages are used

We may also disclose data where we are legally required to, or to establish or defend a legal claim. We would not do so casually.

A note on WhatsApp

Support runs primarily through WhatsApp because it is what customers prefer. That means Meta processes those conversations under its own privacy policy, which we do not control.

If you would rather not use WhatsApp, email us instead at [email protected] — everything can be handled that way.

05

International transfers

Some of the data described above is processed outside the European Economic Area, including by our support team and by third-party services such as messaging and analytics providers.

Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards as required by Chapter V of the GDPR — in most cases the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, or an adequacy decision where one applies to the destination country.

You can ask us for details of the safeguards applying to any particular transfer.

06

How long we keep it

We keep personal data only as long as we need it, then delete it.

DataKept forReason
Support messagesWhile your subscription is active, plus 12 monthsTo handle follow-up questions and disputes
Subscription and payment records6 yearsTax and accounting obligations
Device identifiersWhile registered, then deleted on requestNeeded for the device to connect
Free trial details12 monthsTo enforce the one-trial-per-customer limit
Website technical logsShort retention set by our hostSecurity and troubleshooting

Where a legal obligation requires us to keep records for longer than we would otherwise choose, that obligation takes precedence over a deletion request. We will tell you if that applies to your request.

07

Your rights

Under GDPR you have the following rights over your personal data. Exercising any of them is free, and we will respond within one month.

AccessAsk for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
RectificationHave inaccurate or incomplete data corrected.
ErasureAsk us to delete your data, subject to any legal obligation to retain it.
RestrictionAsk us to pause processing while a dispute is resolved.
PortabilityReceive your data in a machine-readable format.
ObjectionObject to processing based on legitimate interests.

To exercise any of these, email [email protected] stating what you want. We may ask a question or two to confirm you are who you say you are, which protects you rather than us.

08

Cookies & analytics

This website uses a small number of cookies. Essential cookies keep the site working — remembering display preferences and supporting caching — and cannot be switched off without breaking it.

We may also use analytics cookies to understand which pages people find useful. Under Irish ePrivacy rules these require your prior consent, which means they should not be set until you agree via the cookie banner. Continuing to browse is not consent.

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site working properly.

No advertising trackers

We do not run advertising pixels, retargeting tags or third-party ad networks on this site. Nothing here follows you around the internet afterwards.

09

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted connections to this website, access controls on our systems, and limiting who can see customer information to those who need it.

No system is perfectly secure, and we would rather say so than claim otherwise. If a breach occurs that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify the Data Protection Commission within 72 hours as required, and inform you directly where the risk is high.

Protect your own credentials

Your subscription username and password are the whole account. Sharing them lets others use your line and can get it suspended. If you think anyone else has them, message us and we will reissue them immediately.

10

Children

This service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children, and we do not market to them.

If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

11

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service or the law changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.

Where a change materially affects how we use your data, we will make that clear rather than quietly amending the text. We would encourage you to check this page occasionally in any case.

12

Contact & complaints

For any question about this policy, or to exercise your rights, contact us at [email protected] or on WhatsApp at +44 7309 572838. We aim to respond to privacy requests within one month, and usually much sooner.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data or your request, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Irish supervisory authority, the Data Protection Commission, at dataprotection.ie. You may also complain to the supervisory authority in your own EU member state.

We would rather resolve it directly first, but that right exists independently of us and you do not need our agreement to use it.

Questions about your data?

Ask us anything about this policy — we would rather explain it than have you guess.
